As if writing, parenting, and working full-time for the federal government weren't enough, Alana dibbles and dabbles in modeling, acting, and voiceovers when time allows. It's not a job, but it is fun. Editorial shoots, extra work in two motion pictures (Harriet and Ladder 49), HBO's The Wire, and local productions are the extent, but she's open to more. With a Master's degree in Journalism, being in front of a camera is second nature and would've been a career had she not discovered that protecting national security is JUST as exciting. Nicknamed "the woman with the million dollar smile" Alana loves the energy of the stage and camera. "The camera is unforgiving...it forces you to really bring your A-game!"
